Join Your Neighbors Saturday, April 26 at 10 AM to Plant Trees on Abell Avenue

The Abell Improvement Association has created a Tree Committee to plant more trees in our neighborhood and to improve the health of our existing trees. New trees will be planted in existing tree pits on April 26.

Benefits of Trees:

Provide shade and cooling

Managing stormwater

Providing oxygen

Absorbing and storing carbon

Adding beauty to our community

Providing habitat

What Trees Need:

Lots of water during their first two years and during droughts

No trimming the first two years

Mulch around the base (but not touching the trunk)

No barriers to block runoff or raise the level of the soil

Wide tree pits for the roots
